Sophia Khan was born and raised in Pakistan. She is the author of Dear Yasmeen and The Flight of the Arconaut. Her short fiction has appeared in Arts & Letters, Honey Lit, Kestrel, and Gulfstream, among others. Her stories were shortlisted for the Commonwealth short story prize in 2022 and 2016. Sophia has a BA from Haverford College, an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and is a PhD candidate in fiction at Western Michigan University, where she is the managing editor for Third Coast Magazine and an assistant director of first-year-writing.
